Leadership Team

 

Alex Tupman, Group CEO

Alex Tupman bio image-2

 

Alex has over two decades of experience working in B2B sales, marketing and business management and in 1999 he founded his first technology company, which as CEO he later floated on the AIM market of The London Stock Exchange. A previous winner of Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award, Alex led the management buyout of Connect in April 2014 and has responsibility for the strategic direction, business development and overall running of Connect Managed Services. Alex is a keen sportsman and previously represented England in the U19 rugby union team.

 

Martin Cross, Group CTO

Martin provides the technical lead for the business. Martin joined Connect in 2003 through Connect’s purchase of Rapport Professional Services, a business Martin founded jointly. Rapport provided specialist consultancy services in providing multinational communications technology services. Prior to Rapport, Martin was responsible for Business Development of European Professional & Managed Services in Nortel. Martin brings an infectious enthusiasm for communications technology and extensive knowledge of architecting communications technologies and specialist services.

 

James Arnold-Roberts, Group Managing Director

James started his career in telecommunications and technology with Mitech in 2003 and began working with the G3 Comms Telecommunication business in 2011, branching off to Direct the "Network Services" segment of the company. For over 7 years, Network Services ran separately from the main telecommunications business, where G3 Comms built up a strong base of customers. Following the merger of Connect Managed Services and G3 Comms, James has taken on the role of Group Managing Director for Conn3ct.

 

Adam Young, Group COO

As Chief Operating Officer at Conn3ct, Adam Young is responsible for the global operations of the company. He brings more than 30 years of experience to Conn3ct. His experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering technology-driven business services and solutions, providing outstanding client service, and driving profitable revenue growth. Young started in the field of leadership at an early age co-founding Genesis Telecommunication in 1990, building the company to significant revenues over a 13 year period.  In 2002 Young co-founded G3 to tackle the new world of IPT, helping with a leading role to secure investment from Apiary Capital in 2019. Serving for over 20 year in the world of sport Young draws many comparisons from the sporting world in building the correct cultures within the business world.

 

Peter Francis, Group CFO

Peter is a CFO with 30 years’ experience of the technology industry and joined Conn3ct as CFO following the merger of Connect Managed Services and G3 Comms in July 2019. After beginning his career at Arthur Andersen in a big 5 background, Peter has held senior roles for a number of successful telco and technology companies including SoftBrands Europe Limited, Proximity Communications and Maintel. In addition to the remit of the financial direction of Conn3ct, Peter has a strong commercial front office experience and M&A expertise.
